Mallards Swim Team is now accepting entries for the 2010 Summer Camps.
July 5 - 9, July 12-16, July 19- 23, and July 26 – July 30.
Pool Location:
Thornlea pool : 8075 Bayview Ave. (Just South of Hwy #407)
We run 2 different programs:

1. CAMP:
8.30 am-5.00 pm Monday – Friday
- Swimming lessons 2 times/day for 1 hr
- Swimmers videotaped/analyzed during the day
- Stroke analysis
- Body balance and alignment drills
- Breakdown of underwater pull and stroke recovery
- Starts and turns
- Power kicking for distance per stroke
- Breathing and timing patterns
- Training component for basic endurance.
- Various activities (soccer, water polo, basketball, badminton etc.)
- Dry land training
- Nutritional seminars

2: STROKE IMPROVEMENT
8.30-9.30am-or/and 3.00-4.00 pm
Want to improve your swimming technique?
We invite beginners with Aquaquest 5 or higher to join. With only 7-8 spots available per group of swimmers, parents are encouraged to register today.
What do swimmers need?
Swim suit. Goggles, Cap and Fins.
The Mallards Swim Team has always placed great value on stroke technique.
The primary focus of the lessons is to improve overall technique in all four competitive strokes. This will be done in water practice daily. Kicking, body positions in the water, streamline and a lot of fun are to be expected
expect when you join this program. It is our goal to have each swimmer video taped at the beginning and at the end of the session and show what kids gain during this short period of time.
At the end of a session you’ll get:
- Smiles and fun
- Memories about great time in water environment
- Abilities to move in the water better than your peers.
Each day we offer a choice of two sessions. Our coaching staff recommends that swimmers register between 8-12 sessions within the four-week period.
You can sign up for
two times a week (Tue/Thu),
three times a week (Mon/Wed/Fri) or
five times a week (Mon-Fri).
Sessions are split into two categories:
Session 1: 8.30 - 9.30 am
Session 2: 3:00 - 4:00 pm |
Cost:
THORNLEA POOL
first week of Camp is $225.00 (GST included) per session (5 days);
second and following weeks are $135.00
The cost for Mallards Swimmers
first week of Camp is $200.00 (GST included) per session (5 days);
second and following weeks are $120.00.

Please note, that $50.00 is Non-refundable. Swimmers are encouraged to participate in all five days offered per session. A Doctor’s note is required to withdraw with refund from this camp.   |
